Rankin opened its doors to students in the year 1929, now it is just one of the four third through fifth grade schools in the Tupelo Public School District paired to a sister kindergarten through second grade feeder school. Rankin's K-2 feeder school is Joyner Elementary.

Rankin has numerous accounts of outstanding academic acknowledgement in the state as well as nationally. It was the first elementary school in Mississippi to have internet access in all classrooms. Rankin was also recognized as a prestigious national Blue Ribbon School in 2001 and again in 2009. Our goal is to continue creating pathways to success for students during the upcoming school year.

We have a spirit of teamwork relaying the baton from one racer to the next and focusing on our goal, student achievement. Here's an earnest welcome to Rankin Elementary School, home of the Rankin Racers.
